Returns & Warranty
What to do when something is wrong with an order, and where you stand in each case.
If something is wrong, start here
Contact us before sending anything back, so the return is expected and can be tracked. Quote your order number.
Goods sent back without contacting us first can take a great deal longer to resolve, because there is nothing linking the parcel to an order.
Faulty, defective or not as described
The Consumer Protection Act gives you 6 months from delivery to return goods that are faulty, defective or not as described. The choice of a repair, a replacement or a refund is yours, not ours.
Tell us what has gone wrong and send photographs where they help. We pay the return shipping, and we pay to send a replacement out. You are never out of pocket for a fault that was ours.
This applies to custom and made-to-order work exactly as it applies to catalogue stock. A manifold built to your specification still has to be properly made.
It does not cover damage from fitting, modification, abuse, racing, crash damage, or ordinary wear. Stainless and mild steel exhaust components discolour with heat — that is the metal behaving normally, not a defect.
Damaged in transit or missing from the parcel
Check the parcel when it arrives. If anything is damaged or missing, tell us within 48 hours of delivery and keep the packaging — the courier will usually want to see it, and a claim is much harder without it.
Photographs of the outer packaging and of the damage itself make this quick. We deal with the courier; you do not have to. A damaged item is replaced or refunded, and you pay nothing either way.
Changed your mind
Because you bought online, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act gives you 7 days from delivery to cancel without giving a reason.
The goods must come back unused, unfitted and in the condition they arrived in, with any packaging. Once we have them, your refund follows within 15 business days.
You pay the cost of returning the goods, and the original R0 shipping charge is not refunded. Both are what the Act allows where nothing was wrong with the item.
Custom and made-to-order work
The cancellation right above does not apply to anything made to your own specification — custom manifolds, quoted project work, tube and sheet cut to a size you gave us, and any part built around your engine or vehicle.
The Consumer Protection Act does not require a supplier to accept the return of goods made to a customer's specification.
The reason is practical rather than legal: a manifold routed around your engine bay fits nothing else, so it cannot go back on a shelf. This is why custom work is quoted, confirmed and only then started — so that what is being built is agreed before any steel is cut.
If custom work is faulty or does not match what was agreed, the 6-month cover above applies in full.
The wrong item arrived, or you ordered the wrong one
If we sent the wrong item, we collect it and send the right one at our cost. Tell us as soon as you notice.
If you ordered the wrong item — the wrong diameter, the wrong flange pattern — it falls under changing your mind above, provided it is unused and unfitted and within 7 days. Once a part has been fitted, welded or modified it cannot be returned.
If you are unsure about a size or a pattern, ask before you order. Send the vehicle, engine and turbo and you will get a straight answer — that is a far better outcome than a return.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the method you paid with, within 15 business days of the goods reaching us or of a fault being agreed. Card refunds can take a few days more to appear, which is your bank's timing rather than ours.
Anything not covered here
Nothing on this page takes away rights the Consumer Protection Act gives you. Where this policy and the Act disagree, the Act wins.
