Shipping & Delivery
What it costs, when it leaves, and why the date you see is a dispatch date rather than a delivery date.
The short version
One flat rate per order, however many items and wherever you are. It does not go up with weight or distance.
Lead time and delivery time are not the same thing
This is the thing most worth understanding before you order, because it is where expectations usually go wrong.
Almost nothing here is picked off a shelf. Tube and bends are cut to the size you chose, manifolds are fabricated, and some stock is ordered in. So an order passes through three stages, and only the first two are ours:
1 Lead time — making or sourcing it
Working days, counted from when your payment clears. The estimate for each item is shown on its product page and again at checkout.
2 Dispatch — handing it to the courier
Orders leave on Not set yet. An order that becomes ready on a Wednesday goes out on the Friday, not the Wednesday.
3 Transit — the courier delivering it
Once null has the parcel, the delivery time is theirs. You get a tracking number when it leaves, and the courier's own tracking is the accurate source from that point.
The date shown on a product page and at checkout is the dispatch date — the day the parcel is expected to leave. It is not a delivery date, and we do not quote one, because the courier's leg is not ours to promise.
Tracking your order
Every order has an order number and a private link. Keep the link — it is how you check progress without needing an account, and it shows the order moving from received, through production, to dispatched.
Lost the link? Look it up with your order number and email address on the order tracking page.
Addresses
The courier delivers to the address on the order. Check it before you pay — once a parcel is collected, an address change is at the courier's discretion and may cost extra.
Deliveries need somebody to receive them. If nobody is there, the courier will attempt redelivery or hold the parcel at a depot, and repeated failed attempts can mean a second delivery charge.
If a parcel is late, damaged or does not arrive
Damaged or short deliveries should be reported within 48 hours, with the packaging kept — the detail is on the returns page.
For a parcel that has stalled in transit, message us with the order number and we will chase the courier. You do not have to deal with them yourself.
Outside South Africa
Orders are shipped within South Africa only. If you are elsewhere and want something made, message us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether it can be arranged.
